Enroll in STEP: The State Department's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) offers the latest information and alerts. It also makes it easier for authorities to locate you in case of an emergency. Get Updates on Social Media: Follow the State Department on Facebook and Twitter for real-time information. It's always smart to remain vigilant when you're in public, especially when visiting a different country. Given the recent threats from terrorist groups, being watchful is even more essential.
