Why I Introduced the Adoption Information Act
Friend,
As a child of adoption, I firmly believe that every child deserves a loving family who supports them and helps them reach their full potential. Adoptive families face unique challenges, and are in turn rewarded with unique blessings for having said "yes" when others said "no." This is why I reintroduced the Adoption Information Act, which would require federally-funded family planning programs to provide each person who inquires about their services with specific information about adoption centers in their area. This bill is a simple step we can take to make a world of difference. We can all agree that the most vulnerable members of our community deserve a place to call home. I will continue to work to ensure all mothers know what options are available to them, including adoption.
Additionally, I continue to advocate for streamlining the adoption process, improving the foster care system, enhancing access to prenatal and postnatal services, and making childcare more affordable. Through these efforts, we can cultivate a culture that empowers women to choose life. We must treat pregnant women with compassion and provide them and their children with the support and resources they need.
Do you know someone who would be interested in this information? If so, forward this email and invite them to sign up for my newsletter here. Sincerely,
