| Dear Friend, As you may know, one of my main goals for my campaign is to go out into the community and talk to as many people as possible about what is important to them and what they believe can be done to set Virginia back on the right course. What I have heard is shocking. They are concerned about the crime in their area and how it will impact them and their families.
This is why I was motivated to retire from being the Sheriff of York and Poquoson early. The soft on crime policies that Virginia Democrats forced through have failed us, and unless we make the change we want to see, our community will not improve. The Commonwealth that I grew up in and love is heading in a bad direction. We need a correction, and we need it now.
As your next State Senator, I will fight for the families in the Commonwealth to make our communities safer places to live once again. I will also fight to ensure that our teachers' voices are heard so that they can act in the best interest of their students without worrying about whether the administration will support them. Additionally, I will fight to clean up our streets and reverse the dangerous "soft on crime" legislation that was passed without the best interests of Virginians in mind.
