A Letter

In a reflection occasioned by the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare, it is necessary to acknowledge that we are a caring but irresponsible people. We have compassion for those less fortunate but, allow those seeking power to use our compassion to accomplish their ruling political goals by our failing in our responsibilities as citizens.

Obamacare is an instrument of the ruling Oligarchy. We have championed both political parties to lead us to this tragic moment.  We must now hold ourselves responsible in order to restore the basic concepts of the nation. But, if you wish us to remain seated beside Winston and Julia before the telescreen, you need do nothing.

What were the findings of the court?

1.      The Central Government cannot use the Commerce clause to mandate citizen behavior. The vote was (9 – 0)

2.       The Central Government cannot coerce the Sovereign States into acceptance of a Central Government proposal. (7 – 2)

3.      The Congress on behalf of the citizens of the nation, voted for this legislation, and it therefore represents the will of the people.

The Founders crafted the Legislative Branch of the Central Government, the Congress, in two parts. The House to debate proposed legislation between liberal and conservative interpretations of the Constitution. The Senate's underlying purpose was to insure that the Central Government did not exceed its enumerated powers. We have over time allowed the Oligarchy to usurp the power and the will of the people. The Chief Justice placed the responsibility for the acts of the Congress where it belongs; squarely at the feet of the American people.

When only half of the electorate is responsible enough to vote, the Oligarchy wins.

Seen this one before but based on the S-ruling yesterday - it is now even  more timely and oh so important.  If it is good for all of us - especially our Vets - then it sure as hell should apply to Congress, etc..

I challenge you to read this and NOT have the will to pass it on.

Action Alert: Join VA Family Foundation in Fighting for Your Liberty

One thing is clear today.  The Supreme Court has put the issue of President Obama’s government-run health insurance scheme back in the political sphere.  Now every American who opposes the government takeover of health insurance can work together to repeal this law.  If a Congress and President are elected committed to preserving liberty and repealing the bill, the policy can be stopped.

This year Family Foundation Action, a state affiliate of CitizenLink (formerly Focus on the Family Action) is working hard to fight for your liberty.  We are opening call centers around the state working to identify and activate conservative voters.  We have established a reputation as the premier defender of traditional values in Richmond, and are working hard to mobilize voters who support those values.  Join us in fighting for our liberty!  We will be using cutting-edge technology and have fun, family-friendly campaign activities with food, raffles, and prizes.

A Leter

The cry of rebellion against a repressive central government heard in Boston Harbor some 239 years ago can again be heard across the land. Then it was a king and a parliament far across the sea asserting rule over colonial second class citizens. Today, it is the elite Washington intellectual, financial and political Oligarchy asserting rule over "We the people".

Contrary to the propaganda gushing forth from both political stripes, the underlying issue is not jobs, debt, excessive spending, immigration, a bloated government, or even Obamacare. It is the role of the central government in our lives. Both political parties hold claim to the excesses of the central government. Both understand power and understand that with an unengaged electorate they are free to play among themselves at the expense of "We the people".

There are but two issues. Address them and the rest will follow. The Senate was created to be the voice of the sovereign states and has been reduced to a shill for one or the other of the national political parties. The tax code has become the private treasure trove of the Oligarchy stocked by "We the people". For their 2013 trove, the Oligarchy wants $12,000 from every man, woman and child in the United States. The math is easy; $3.6 Trillion budget and 300 Million people.

            Does anybody care?

FW: Thank you and "Closure"

Hello good friends and former Bob Marshall supporters,

You have myextreme” apologies for getting back in touch with you so late. But it is not due to a lack of effort. I’ve talked to Bob Marshall at least three or four times on the phone, Bob Allen at least three or four times, and Cathy Marshall at least twice over the last two weeks. These were all in an effort to get them to come down here for a “thank you” get together for all of you volunteers and supporters, as well as for them to retrieve whatever signs and wires you were able to salvage from the campaign. I won’t speak for them. Cathy Marshall provides her own explanation below.

I realize a lot of time has gone by. Therefore, I must ask you whether or not you feel you are still interested in having this little get together as late as July 2nd, as Cathy Marshall suggests. I’ve told them all that I felt this was perhaps a little too slow on their part, and that we were all ready for closure and needing to get on with our lives. Most of you are likely holding on to signs and wires wondering whether to throw them out or not. Remember, we would be bringing those signs and wires with us to the event for the Marshalls to bring back home with them.

PLEASE email me back as soon as you can to let me know how you feel about this so I can gauge whether to go forward with it or not. If enough of you would like to do this, I’ll be happy to go to work on it. I’m willing to host this at my house here in Yorktown, but I realize that the majority of you live over there on the Southside. If one of you over there would volunteer to allow us to have it at your house, it would likely be better for all … perhaps someone “centrally located” between Suffolk and Va. Beach. Those of us on the Peninsula and above could easily meet at my house and then car pool over there.

This would be a “covered dish” little gathering to avoid a food burden to whoever is the host, and keep it simple. I don’t imagine the event to be of more than 2 or 3 hours on a Monday evening due to the distance from which everyone will be coming. Perhaps 5-8pm? or 6-9pm?

Lastly, if this date just doesn’t work for you, or some other date would be better, or if you just don’t feel this is any longer of interest, then I need to know that as well. I assure you that your views and votes will be kept close to the vest and go no further than “yours truly.”

One last thing. If I have left anyone out of this notification/invitation(?) that you know of, or if I’ve missed anyone that I don’t know about, please forgive me! Feel free to contact them and include them in on what is going on. See the address bar above.

I’m so proud of you all for being not only great patriots, but wise ones in recognizing the best man for the job of U.S. Senator, regardless of the success of the campaign. This demonstrates beyond anything your commitment to principle over all else.

THANK YOU!!!

Mike Prunty

Subject: Thank you and "Closure"

Mike - Forgive our delay in setting something up to thank supporters and retrieve signs.  After our week away we have been busy retrieving signs and clearing moutains of paper and trying to restore some order at home.  Hope you understand.  Then, my sister and family came to viist this past weekend and are due here again Saturday on their way back from a vacation, so we have been busier than usual.

Do you think Monday, July 2, would work for you?  Bob Allen thought that you might be willing to have people meet at your house (if we misunderstood, then please correct us) to hand over signs, and perhaps Bob could thank people personally for all they did in the campaign.  Let us know if this date works for you and others.  If not, we can try to rework.

Mike, we truly can never thank you adequately for your support over the years, and most recently on the campaign trail.  We of course wish we had not asked everyone to do so much, given the results, but if there is a silver lining, we at least have additional people willing to "work the system" in Richmond to fight for the constitution.  Again, we thank you and look forward to hearing from you.

YCRC website

Hey Robert,
I'm not sure who tweets for the Peninsula Tea Party but I've noticed a
few times that meetings and locations were tweeted incorrectly. I'm not
sure who to contact about that but I expect you do.
The York County Republican Cmte now has an active website to which you
can refer regarding their meetings. Be advised that it is still in
draft form but much info esp about meetings is reliable.
http://ycrc-va.com/
I'm the 'webmaster' if you have any questions. There is also a contact
form.

Thanks for all your activism,

Pat

A Letter

As we approach the 236th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, perchance we should reflect upon the most significant paragraph, the second. Those who care about their country know how it begins.

"We hold these truths to be self- evident, that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness –"

This is not the same principle as articulated in the 1st Amendment Congressional probation regarding the establishment or exercising of a religion.

Men pledged "our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." to this fundamental principle in the character of the government and nation they were establishing. How do we do less today without striking at the heart of the nation?

If, we as a people succumb to the concepts put forth by those who do not hold belief in God and those who hold diversity over the Christian founding principles of the nation, we must also accept the tyranny of man.

We were founded as a Christian nation. Our Declaration of Independence cannot be more clear. If we today accept the premise that we are no longer a Christian nation, how do we assert claim to "certain unalienable rights"?
