Historic Yorktown Area
In historic Yorktown, salute America along the Yorktown waterfront beginning with a 9 a.m. patriotic parade on Water Street and during its evening Independence Day Celebration, featuring a bell-ringing ceremony at 7 p.m. and patriotic entertainment at 8 p.m. at Riverwalk Landing, followed by spectacular fireworks on the York River at 9:15 p.m.
Cole Digges House (circa 1720), 411 Main Street
Carrot Tree in the Cole Digges House (circa 1720), in Historic Yorktown announces the opening of the Wine Garden at Carrot Tree. The Wine Garden will be open Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00pm and on Thursdays and Friday's from 3:30 to 6:30 pm thru October serving specially priced relaxing beverages, small plates of Carrot Tree appetizers and bushels of Virginia peanuts.
