Fw: RT 17 Speed Limit Change York County

Fellow Hobbyists: For your consideration.
Thanks Al!!
Larry

Sent: Thursday, August 29, 2013 11:39 AM
Subject: RT 17 Speed Limit Change York County

FYI & our members (CCCC & VPCCC).

The speed limit on Rt 17 north and south bound in York County from Victory Blvd (Wal Mart) to Goodwin Neck Rd (Denbigh Blvd, Pops, Harley Davidson) has been changed from 45mph to 35 repeat 35mph. This change was made to facilitate safety during the Rt 17 expansion/construction and demolishing/rebuilding the Harwood,s Mill Dam Bridge projected to last at least 4 years.

A lot of people seem to be ignoring the change, but one can expect law enforcement monitoring with the speed limit change and designating the area/lanes as a "Work Zone."

Anyone traveling the area which includes Heritage Square, Classic Cruisers Car Club Saturday Night Cruise-in site should be advised.

YCRC Call for Mtg. 5 Sept 2013

Greetings, Fellow Republicans,

I hope you all have enjoyed the “Summer Break” and are rested and ready to hit the ground for these last 67 days of campaigning!

Attached and below, please find the Call for the 5 Sept. YCRC meeting.  Please note the venue change to Bruton High School’s auditorium.

t I’ve learned that many Republican Committees throughout our Commonwealth strive to grow their membership by rotating meetings throughout their localities, especially those whose geography stretches lengthy distances so that the same people aren’t always having to travel long distances to every meeting. In other words, they take turns to ease the travel burden as well as to reach possible new members in those areas. Several YCRC members have brought up that they would like some meetings to be nearer to them since York County does stretch across quite a lengthy distance from our southern area next to Hampton & Poquoson all the way up to Williamsburg & James City County. In that effort, for the next few meetings, we will be rotating throughout York County, usually to YCSD schools, to meet in each of our five districts. In addition, meeting in the auditoriums will allow us more space to break into our district/precinct groups for campaign/election/other planning.

If you have any friends who are upper York County residents, please invite them to join us on Sept. 5th at Bruton HS since we’ll be in their neighborhood! A membership form is attached.

BHS: 185 E. Rochambeau Dr., Williamsburg, VA 23188. If you take I-64W towards Williamsburg, take the Camp Perry exit, turn left at the stop sign. (Camp Perry entrance will be to your right.) Turn right at the light onto E. Rochambeau. Bruton HS will be on your left – you’ll want the 2nd driveway into the school as the first one is the BHS exit (one way in, one way out).

t On the Call’s agenda, please note that Bob D’Eramo’s name has been re-added to the list of possible new members for election. Bob was introduced at a 2012 meeting and had his application form mistakenly filed as having been voted in as a member, but he was not as he missed the next meeting. He has been unable to return to a YCRC meeting since Jan. due to recovering from serious injuries in a near-fatal car accident, but he let me know this summer that he’d like to return. He’s now back on the list and will be voted on at the next regular YCRC meeting he attends. We look forward to having Bob join us, again! (Many thanks, again, to Bob for allowing YCRC to place our booth in front of his Ben & Jerry’s shop on Water St. for the Yorktown 4th Celebration!)

t The 6 June minutes will be sent in another email before the 5 Sept. meeting for your review.

t Don’t forget – if you cannot attend the meeting, a non-YCRC member who lives in your York County District can attend in your place as your proxy so you’re not  counted as absent. Since YCRC must follow RPV Party Plan rules, if you miss three (3) consecutive meetings, you resign your membership and lose all voting/speaking privileges. A proxy form is attached for your convenience.

I look forward to seeing you all next Thursday, 5 Sept., at Bruton High School to hear Suzanne Obenshain speak about Mark’s campaign and to organize our grassroots’ Get Out The Vote efforts to help our Republican candidates WIN in November! We only have 67 more days left to work towards VICTORY!!

For God and Country,

Lynda

[York-Announce] Sept 17: York County Board of Supervisors Meeting

Dear Colleagues,

Stacy Luckado is a York County Libertarian, and she is interested in seeing what can be done about wasteful spending at the County level. The rubber meets the road, as it were, at the York County Board of Supervisors meetings. This is where your local politicians do their work, spending every last dime they take from you.

According to our records, you are a resident of York County as well, so we are inviting you to attend the York County Board of Supervisors meetings as well.

Stacy is planning to attend the September 17, 2013 meeting of the York County Board of Supervisors. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m., but Stacy will be there about 15 minutes early. It's always more fun if several people show up, so mark your calendar and be there! See her announcement on the PLP Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/48769245871/permalink/10151556676225872/

Leave a comment to let her know you're coming.

In Virginia, citizens have the right to address their Board of Supervisors during public meetings. Politicians do the same stupid things all over, so it's not hard to find something in the Agenda that you can get up to speak about for the allowed time (3 minutes).

Here is more information about the York Board of Supervisors:

http://www.yorkcounty.gov/Default.aspx?alias=www.yorkcounty.gov%2Fbos

Be sure to check out the menu on the left, particularly the "Agenda-Current" link and the "Minutes" link.

-------------------------------

Of course if you are not a resident, or are simply not interested in further communications from the Libertarian Party, please reply to me and let me know either way.

Thank you for your attention!

With Best Wishes from the Libertarian Party of Virginia

Greetings!

This is Trey Ramsey, Campaign Field Representative for the NRA-ILA.  As we know, November is creeping up quickly.  I would like to inform you of our volunteer opportunities in the area so that we can make a positive impact in ensuring that our 2nd Amendment rights stay firm in Virginia.  I can use all the volunteer support I can get! Everyday we have canvassing opportunities (just send me your address and I will compile a list of houses near you that you can distribute the NRA's endorsement literature to) and phone banking networks (in a week or so we will have a call-from-home network in place where you log-in online at the NRA-ILA site and call from a provided list).  Below is our current schedule.  If you can volunteer at any of these events please let me know:

[YorkTeaParty.org] A new post was made to Announcements

Robert Alexander added a new post to Announcements:

Google Deletes PeninsulaTeaParty.org

Are we being targeted because we are a Tea Party organization?  Google has removed all references to PeninsulaTeaParty.org from their domain name servers (DNS.)

To quickly describe all the geek stuff: We got in on "Google Apps," a suite of online applications developed for business, back when it was in the free test phase.  When the ended the free test phase, we were promised that we could keep our account.  One of the things that was connected to the suite of applications was Blogger.  Our website is set up on a series of Blogger sites and the domains have been pointed to these Blogger sites though the Google DNS but all of the settings are made in the configuration of our domain provider.  Those settings are still in place. The Blogger settings are still correct also.  Only the DNS data does not exist any longer and that leaves our website inaccessible.

Here is the letter I've posted on Blogger's help forum:

I have the domain via MyDomain.com and have the settings correct (haven't changed since it had been working for about 3 years.) I have other domains that still point to blogger sites without issue but the DNS is no longer working primarily for the following blogs:

www.peninsulateaparty.org & peninsulateaparty.org
us.peninsulateaparty.org
va.peninsulateaparty.org
healthcare.peninsulateaparty.org
agenda21.peninsulateaparty.org
meetings.peninsulateaparty.org
hampton.peninsulateaparty.org
middle.peninsulateaparty.org
newportnews.peninsulateaparty.org
williamsburg.peninsulateaparty.org
yorktown.peninsulateaparty.org

I've been unable to find any notifications but my domain, while set up with my A Records and CNames they do not direct to blogger. Have Blogger and Google had a falling out or am I being targeted for being a Tea Party organization?

In a related issue that I have yet to find a way to resolve, it seems my Google Apps account has been deleted.  I don't know why but I suspect being deleted from Google's DNS for being an enemy of the statists may also have an affect on Blogger.

All my DNS settings no longer connect to Blogger. Is Google is trying to erase me?
