The value of local, community journalism

The Triangle exists to serve you!
 ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Hey there,

By now, you have an idea of what The Triangle does and what to expect. But we're so much more than we can explain in a 500-word letter.

The Triangle was founded on the idea that Virginia's Historic Triangle deserves an actually local, independent media outlet to connect residents with their community so they can thrive in their daily lives.

We produce high-quality, objective local journalism that informs the public on local business, government, and quality of life in and around Williamsburg, York County and James City County. The Triangle is here to hold public policy-makers accountable as much as it is here to tell the stories of the people, places, and organizations that make this area so special.

That's truly why The Triangle exists. Sure, we can report on the important happenings across the world, but then who's left to report on what's happening in downtown Williamsburg or Historic Yorktown on any given weekend?

And the trust and respect of our audience will never be compromised. Because while legacy media outlets tell us what's going on in broad strokes around the region, how else can we tell what's really going on in the neighborhood?

We've dedicated ourselves to giving back to our community and making the greatness of the Historic Triangle available to all. But we can't do it alone.

We're hoping you can help us fund local independent news in our area. All contributions from readers will be used to pay our contributors, help keep the lights on, and expand to become an even better news outlet and resource to the community.

Thank you for your support of local journalism. Every little bit helps.
