A Letter

We as a nation have just witnessed a most brilliant election campaign strategy and execution. The Democratic Party campaign platform behind the strategy while vague in Charlotte, except for the controversy over the inclusion of reference to God, is now flushed out.

Make government the source of daily sustenance for those unemployed. Shut down oil drilling and prohibit other fossil energy sources for the environmentalist constituency and concurrently cause gas prices and the need for food stamps to rise. Provide "free" medical care through Obamacare. Affirm that religious freedom does not stand against the dictates of the Government. Advocate Gay Marriage. The "Right to Work" concept is to be destroyed by "Card Check". Advocate "amnesty" for illegal aliens. This is what the Democratic Party says it stands for and what Obama campaigned on.

Don't govern, campaign. Don't fix problems. Fixing the problems will reduce the government largesse recipient's reliance on government.

As the 2012 campaign begins, prepare for the final ground game by identifying potential voters, one by one. Speak about an ill-defined "middle class" and only one issue, tax the rich.  Deaminize your opponent.

And at the close, execute the final phase of the "get out the vote ground game". Complete the entering of all potential Democratic constituent voter names onto an electronic data bank so organizers can again inspire those on their list to vote for Obama and when not showing up at the polls go and get them.

One must stand in awe of the platform, strategy and the execution. But, if advocates for the reelection of the President voted in response to fulfillment of their single constituent issue, they must now accept the mantle of advocate for all of the Democratic Party platform issues. If you advocate that "your end justifies the common means", you must also accept responsibility for all of the ends.

4-H Mums program finishes with success; Join us at Skate Rattle and Roll

York-Poquoson 4-H Mums Project wraps up

November 8, 2012

FOR RELEASE AT WILL

This year's York-Poquoson Extension 4-H Mums Project was a success! Twelve youth people participated in the program. Each participant received 20 mums in May and was taught how to care for them throughout the summer. All 12 completed the program and sold their product at the Yorktown Market Days. While selling their product at Market Days, the kids learned to interact with the public and even helped sell each other's mums!
The combined earnings for all participants were $1,600. Several of the participants plan to donate a portion of their earnings to charity.
For more information about the 4-H Mums project, call the York-Poquoson Extension Office at 890-4940.

A Letter

On the 6th of November, 2012, the great social-political experiment conceived in Philadelphia in 1787 was relegated to the dust bin of history with great fanfare.

"We the people" have cried out to government, "Hosanna". We cannot save ourselves. We proclaimed our desire to allow man to intercede between us and God as heretofore prohibited by the 1st Amendment. We have shouted with words and deeds that the family is no longer the bedrock of our national society. The entities of government are now vested with the role of parent. Mothers, once the heart of the family, are now just workplace statistics. Government services and science have replaced the need for husbands. Marriage constituted for the propagation and care of children is now about the rights of the respective couples. The free press has become an arm of the very government from which it was to protect us. Property rights, once protected by the Bill of Rights, are now subject to the whim of government through EPA regulations.

As the sun sets on the 7th of November, the exceptional nation "Of, By and For the people" created upon the notion of God given unalienable rights has perished. The words of Gettysburg are now but a vague distant memory. We are today not governed. We are ruled by a remote Oligarchy, embraced by both political parties, interested only its retention of power. We have joined Winston and Julia before the telescreen. Man, not God, is now to be our King.

"We the people" are the creator of our station and as a people have a choice. We can either recognize the errors of our ways and correct them or continue blindly to the siren's call.
