Dear Neighbors,

 

This email is provided in support of your neighborhood crime watch program.  Earlier today (May 6^th) the York County Sheriff's Office informed me that one individual was arrested in connection with the break-in attempt on Amelia Court in the Coventry neighborhood.  As I understand it, the individual was caught and arrested while committing another burglary in the City of Hampton.  The perpetrator's car was identified through pictures taken by the Coventry homeowner and interestingly enough, a search of the vehicle turned up evidence from unannounced burglaries that had taken place in the Woodlake Crossing and Patriot Village neighborhoods.  It is estimated that 90% of the property taken from the homes was recovered.  The Sheriff's Office will provide a press release of the arrest next week.  Once again quick thinking by a homeowner and the use of a camera has helped to take a criminal off the street.
