THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN

Inspiration for selections performed on this CD from Colonial Williamsburg came from a collection of fife and drum music played at the Battle of Yorktown-the final battle of the American Revolutionary War. Today, the Fifes and Drums of Colonial Williamsburg carry forward the tradition of military music. Legend has it that the British played a tune called "The World Turned Upside Down" the day they surrendered. Although historians find no record of the tune being played that day, they do know many pieces that were, and the Fifes and Drums of Colonial Williamsburg perform selections from the battlefield on this CD. $17.95

  1. Thank you so much for all this information, it is very help full for me. And I want to talk you about my blog that is Baby books for boys. These days, with ultrasound examination scanning being done during the pregnancy, many moms-to-be already know whether their kid's going to be a boy or a girl. This makes it much simpler to plan the baby's room shade scheme, buy sheets and pillowcases, furnishings and child products in the right shade early enough so that when you come home with the child, everything is ready and organized for you. However, if you're a buddy of the mother and father of a child boy, you can select from a variety Personalized gifts concepts and pick the one that fits your price range, the age of the child and the parents' lifestyle.
