Eric Holder's Unglamorous Fight To Unrig Redistricting In America Talking Points Memo, David Daley, 3/17/20 |
Hey, it's Raffi and I wanted to make sure you saw this article from Talking Points Memo. As a Deputy States Director for All On The Line, I know how this work can definitely be... not so glamorous... at times. But we have to do it. Whether we have a political system that works for the next decade will come down to us trying to convince someone that contacting a state legislator they may have never heard of or organizing a volunteer call on a vote on a bill that's not in the news yet is just as important as the presidential race.
But we get up and do the work because it matters. A.G. Holder said it best in the article: "You have to forget this notion of down-ballot. And you can't just yell at the TV, at MSNBC or Colbert." You've got to actually do something. If you want to do something, Robert, give us a hand this month -- whether it's your first donation, your only donation, or one of many. We're looking particularly to build our donor base in Yorktown -- you can rep your community by chipping in here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/communityorganizingfund?city=Yorktown.
Thanks for your support,
Raffi Freedman-Gurspan
