Dear Friend, As the Sheriff of York and Poquoson for more than two decades, I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility. In order to live successful and happy lives, we need to live within our means and use our resources wisely. The government should not be an exception to this principle. We work hard to make a living and as a result we must pay taxes. The government has a duty to use these hard-earned tax dollars responsibly, for the benefit of the community and not for frivolous pet projects. As your State Senator, I will work to ensure that the General Assembly uses tax dollars responsibly and fight to lower taxes for the benefit of all Virginians. With record inflation and economic uncertainty, it is more important than ever to be mindful of how we spend our hard-earned money. I am seeking your support to continue this fight. If you can donate $150, $100, or $75, it would greatly help my campaign to go to Richmond and represent you. If you are unable to donate at this time, you can still show your support by requesting a yard sign or donating your time to my campaign by clicking here. Finally, if you believe you may not be able to vote on Election Day, click here to be directed to the form to fill out an absentee ballot request. Together, we can make a difference in November. Sincerely, Sheriff (Ret.) Danny Diggs |
