Sunset will be at 8:35 p.m., after 15 hours of daylight.   Then the days will be getting shorter until we hit winter solstice, but let's not think about that yet.   Summer is starting after a dry spring that put the state under a drought watch. However, there's a good chance of rain (and thunderstorms) Thursday and Friday.   The season is full of things to do. There are dozens of concerts scheduled in and around the Harrisburg area. Gardening is ongoing. A new playground opened in Harrisburg. Fourth of July is around the corner.    Enjoy the long day!   Now, let's take a look at this morning's headlines. (Photo by Sean Simmers, PennLive.com) Animal news Safe crossings: Pennsylvanians have a 1 in 57 chance of hitting an animal on state roadways, compared to 1 in 115 nationally, according to State Farm Insurance. There are 35 wildlife crossings on state highways, but a study is being done in the hopes of adding more.   License fees: Legislation that would boost the cost of dog licenses in Pennsylvania for the first time in 27 years won state Senate passage on Tuesday. The base fee would rise over the next four years.   Dog stabbed to death: A pit bull was stabbed to death in New York's Central Park during a fight between dog walkers. The slain dog's owner said the other dogs' owner tried to stab him, too.   Mom moose attacks: A Colorado man who was stomped by a moose says he doesn't blame her. He was walking his dogs when they startled the mama moose out with her babies. The person who died had his head out of the window, police said.   Fatal fire: Two people in their 20s died in an early Tuesday morning house fire in York County.   3 dead in crash: A crash on I-80 in Centre County early Tuesday left three people dead and three injured. The road was closed for more than 12 hours. Yesterday, House Democrats passed a minimum wage increase; it goes to the Senate. The House also passed a tax credit for new police officers, teachers and nurses.   Hunter Biden charged: President Joe Biden's son Hunter has been charged with failing to pay federal income tax and illegally possessing a weapon. He's reached a plea agreement with the Justice Department.   Hurricane threat: Tropical Storm Bret formed in the Atlantic Ocean Monday and is threatening the eastern Caribbean with heavy rain.   Sub still missing: The US Coast Guard says a Canadian aircraft has detected underwater noises during the search for a submersible that vanished while taking five people down to the wreck of the Titanic.
