Tonight's Powerball lottery drawing is worth more than a half-billion dollars. If anyone won the Mega Millions last night, that was worth about $400 million. That's more money than most of us can fathom. In western Pa., a family went public with their story of winning a million on a scratch-off ticket, paid through a $1,000/week annunity. Does it feel disappointing compared with the giant jackpots? Maybe. But the family's attitude was priceless: Keep jobs, pay bills, breathe easier – and plan a trip to Disney World. Also, the woman who bought the ticket offered some solid advice: It's good to believe in luck but don't go broke buying lottery tickets. Now, let's take a look at this morning's headlines. |
