Shepperd, Jr. York County Supervisor, District 5 Hm:  (757) 858-8591 Mb:  (757) 903-1875 Email address: Shepperd@yorkcounty.gov Email address:  TGShep@cox.net          District 5 Special Announcement Subscribe for District 5 Report and Crime Watch Updates Residents and homeowner associations are encouraged to share the Report with others in their communities. Comments and questions are always welcome* Victory Blvd. & Route 17 Traffic Light Adjustment As many of you may have experienced, the traffic light placement at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Route 17 is messed up. When heading towards I-64, the left turn lights are not aligned with the left turn lanes. After hearing from many of you and experiencing the turn lane confusion, I was able to get VDOT to start the process for fixing the situation. The VDOT Resident Engineer has informed me that the VDOT crew will adjust the lights on Tuesday January 23rd.  All the power to the entire intersection will be off during the repairs. Sheriff Office deputies will be in place to direct traffic through the intersection during the repair work. I have time frame for the repairs.
