Gallery at York Hall celebrates Arts Month this September
September 7, 2011
FOR RELEASE AT WILL
The Gallery at York Hall will host three events to celebrate Arts Month this September.
The month kicks off as the gallery presents the opening for a new exhibition of Wooden Quilts by Marilyn West through Sept. 30.
Dulcimer artist Tim Seaman will present a concert and demonstration on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m.
On Sept. 18, Botanical Artist Linda C. Miller will demonstrate botanical art painting techniques at the Gallery from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Gallery makes a fantastic starting point to any visit to Historic Yorktown. View an orientation video and upcoming events in the Sights and Sounds Room, and pick up helpful planning tools such as area brochures, maps and coupons, while having any questions answered by the gallery volunteers.
For the month of September, when customers mention arts month, they will receive 10% of their total purchase. This is a great opportunity to start some holiday shopping early.
The Gallery at York Hall is located at 301 Main Street in Historic Yorktown and is a cooperative effort between the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and York County. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
For more information, call the Gallery at York Hall at 890-4490 or visit www.visityorktown.org for a complete listing of planned 2011 exhibits.
