(Mark Pynes, PennLive.com) Today's talkers Few answers on fatal crash: Before a crash Oct. 3 that killed an 18-year-old, a Harrisburg police officer officer drove the wrong way down a one-way street and ran a stop sign, PennLive has learned. The officer involved was on his way to help another city cop with a situation that had been resolved just before the fatal crash.   Needles in candy: Silver Spring Township police said sewing needles were found in three pieces of candy from trick-or-treaters last night.   Kevin's back: Kevin Bacon has been captured in Gettysburg. After spending the past couple weeks roaming around town, making his way into national headlines, and even getting a nod from the Hollywood actor himself, the 200-pound pig is back in his pen. Read more Business Old mill's future: The Highspire Flour Mill, long a landmark in the Dauphin County borough, is being torn down after being vacant for years. The company has no particular plans for the land, but "there's not an economic reason to operate a mill in that area," the CEO said.   House demolished:  A home in Lower Paxton Township surrounded by businesses, including Lowe's and Ashley Furniture, has been demolished to make way for an oil change company. Read more Politics Death penalty decisions: A Pennsylvania House committee yesterday cleared two bills on the death penalty – one that would tighten the standard for its use and another that would eliminate it.    College funding, with caveats: A path to freeing $642 million in state funding for Pennsylvania's four state-subsidized universities appears to have been found. However, it would require the schools to freeze tuition next year. The state also wants more financial disclosures from the schools, which include Penn State and Pitt.
