It was a year ago this week that a player's injury cast a shadow over the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. The child from Utah wasn't hurt on the field; he fell from the top of a bunk bed in the player dorm. At first, his family has said, Easton Oliverson wasn't expected to survive the head injuries he'd suffered. He's had a lot of medical care, and his family's lawyer said he'll have effects forever. However, on Monday, the 13-year-old started eighth grade, thankfully. The world series, meanwhile, started yesterday, including a game with the team from Pennsylvania. Now, let's take a look at this morning's headlines. |
