News from York County, Virginia

FOR RELEASE AT WILL

The York County Public Library is sponsoring a Food for Fines amnesty program from April 9-15.
Patrons with overdue materials may bring nonperishable food items to the Tabb or Yorktown Library to pay their overdue fines. One food item will pay one fine, regardless of the amount of the fine.

Patrons may bring as many food items as they have overdue books, DVDs, cassettes or CDs. The Food for Fines program does not apply to charges for lost or damaged items.

Patrons should bring their canned or boxed food items to the Circulation Desk, along with their library card, to receive credit on their account. Previously opened and expired food items will not be accepted. Donated items will benefit local food closets.
