York resident celebrates 101st birthday at Senior Center of York

     Senior Center of York patron Geraldine Borum celebrated her 101st birthday at the Center's "Birthday Bash" in January.  Entertainment was provided by D.B. Magic and Entertainment with David Alan impersonating Dean Martin and his wife, Tracey Lynne, impersonating Marilyn Monroe.  The duo sang popular songs from that era.
     The Center's Birthday Bash is a monthly event that brings our seniors together whether or not they are celebrating a birthday.
     The Senior Center offers a variety of monthly and weekly classes and programs and hots special events during the year.  It also sponsors senior sightseeing and educational trips with the Historic Triangle Senior Center.  The Senior Center of York is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is located at 5314 George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17) in Grafton.  nterested seniors can also learn more by calling the center at 898-3807 or visiting www.yorkcounty.gov/communityservices.
