FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In these tight economic times, we're all looking for ways to save money.
That's why York County has recently revamped its Historic Yorktown Rewards Card program, which now features even more discounts and special offers than ever before.
The program, sponsored by the County's Offices of Economic Development and Tourism, is open to all York County residents, York County employees and York County School Division employees. With proof of ID, residents can receive a rewards card that offers discounts at businesses, restaurants and attractions in Historic Yorktown. Since its inception in 2005, nearly 5,000 cards have been issued.
"Everyone who uses the card at our business is very appreciative of our special offer," said Jill Pryor, owner of Patriot Tours & Provisions at Riverwalk Landing. "I think this card is a nice perk for residents, and it's great that the county and participating businesses are able to give back to locals this way."
A list of current discounts that are being extended to cardholders is available at http://www.yorkcounty.gov/publicinfo, and features savings for several popular restaurants, attractions, museums, shops, and lodging.
Residents can obtain a Rewards Card by visiting the County Administration building at 224 Ballard Street, Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 5 p.m. or the Gallery at York Hall at 301 Main Street, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Attached is a picture of the Rewards Card. For more information about this program, call 757-890-3300.
