Pioneers of the Future: Google Glass    Google is bringing out a new experimental product called Google Glass. Last week, they announced that Newt was chosen as one of the people  to pioneer and experiment this new technology with them. In this week's newsletter, Newt discusses the potential of this  technology and shares some of the first experiements he plans to try with it.

Newt and Callista to Visit South Carolina       This week, it was announced that Newt and Callista will visit South Carolina from April 29th to May 1st. During the visit, Newt will  be a featured speaker at the South Carolina Energy & Opportunity Forum hosted  by the Southeast Energy Alliance and Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

       Downton Abbey and You
  Downton Abbey and You    In this week's newsletter, Newt shares that he and Callista have recently become hooked on the series 
Downton Abbey. He explains that not only does the show offer great writing, actors, and history, but that it also perfectly ties in with his interest in pioneers of the future by portraying the shift from candle to electric light as a model for the transformations that are about to occur.

Newt Discusses North Korea on Piers Morgan Live       On Thursday, April 4th, Newt joined Piers Morgan and Robin Wright on 
Piers Morgan Live on CNN to discuss North Korea. During the discussion, Newt said we must be firm,  but that we also need to make clear that we "do not want to increase the temperature of the water."

Newt's Statement on President Obama's BRAIN Initiative      This week, Newt said the new Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative announced by President Obama was a very important step in the right direction. The initiative is focused on mapping the brain to better understand its function, and hopefully provide us the resources to one day better understand and create more effective treatments for certain diseases.
