Music + football + politics + love |
Some people with microphones believe that something more than cupid was involved in starting the romantic relationship between mega pop star Taylor Swift and mega football star Travis Kelce. Because both have leaned Democratic, some conspiracy theorists have suggested their relationship is happening as a precursor to an endorsement of President Joe Biden — or that the U.S. government is actually running a covert operation involving Swift. We're not going to guess either way if it's true, but it does seem a little hard to imagine the federal government could be that organized and clever. "People just want to like Taylor Swift. They want to be able to watch football and listen to her music and not consider the political implications," the vice president of a GOP political consulting firm told the AP. "Most everyday people don't have the time or energy to care." Many everyday people will be caring about the Super Bowl on Sunday. Kelce's team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will be taking on the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. Swift is supposed to be flying in for the game — not on a government plane, as far as we know. |
