Hello Conservative friends,
I need your help. I need lots of it, and I need it now! I hate to put it so bluntly, but sometimes you just have to. As you may realize by now, Republican candidates for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Senator James Webb are currently scrambling to gather signatures on petitions to qualify to be on the ballot for the primary election currently scheduled for June 12th.
I am the volunteer Tidewater/Hampton Roads regional coordinator for the Bob Marshall campaign, and am seeking to help Bob Marshall get on the ballot. I am sending this letter to those I know who possibly may be inclined to support or even just like Bob, or those who I believe have indicated such support in the past. But please, if I am making a mistake in sending this to you, then please accept my apologies and disregard the rest of this letter! I’m just “guessing” as best I can at this point.
We must gather the names and addresses of at least 10,000 registered Virginia voters and submit them to the State Board of Elections with no less than 400 signatures from each of our 11 congressional districts. We actually need to collect as many more signatures than 10,000 as possible to provide a “cushion” against any which might be disqualified or not counted. Go to www.bobmarshall2012.com/petition to print off a PDF of the petition form and then just make as many copies as needed. Instructions for filling out the form and gathering the signatures are available as well.
We particularly need volunteers from the third congressional district (Bobby Scott’s district), and the fourth district (Randy Forbes)! Contact me right away. Please!
Some of you may already be doing this for Bob. If so, thank you so much!!! Please email me right away to let me know who you are, where you are, and generally how you are doing. We simply need to track who is doing what and where so that we may more efficiently guide additional volunteers to where they are most needed. We don’t want you guys overlapping each other’s tracks!
This coming Tuesday, March 6th, we need to recruit volunteers to be present at as many Presidential Primary polling sites as possible to gather signatures from voters as they come and go. We need you especially during morning and afternoon “drive times,” from 6:00am to 9:00am, and from 4:00pm to 7:00pm when the polls close. In addition, ask your family, friends and neighbors to sign. Be sure to ask if they’ve already signed a petition for Bob Marshall already, as they can only do so once! Please let me know if you can man a polling site.
If you can attend a local Republican committee meeting, a Tea Party meeting, a Patriot group meeting, or any other such gathering, bring that petition clip board with you!! Maybe even your church or where you work!!! If you are able, walk door to door in your own neighborhood.
I have some brand new Bob Marshall palm cards for you to give out to people when they sign your petitions, as well as for use later on. You can come pick some up from me on Sunday afternoon. For those on the Peninsula, I shall be at the farthest corner of the WalMart parking lot at the intersection of Victory Blvd and George Washington Hwy. (U.S. Rt. 17) in York County from 12:00 noon until 2:30pm. Then I shall go to the Atlanta Bread Company in Virginia Beach near Lynnhaven Mall from 3:15pm until 4:45pm. Again, I’ll be in the parking lot. Then I’ll go to the Wendy’s parking lot in Chesapeake in front of the Wal Mart Supercenter on North Battlefield Blvd. just off I-64 exit 290-B exit from 5:30pm until 7:00pm.
So if you possibly can, please join our effort. Many of you have wanted Bob to run for a long time now. So NOW is the time! And we have very little of it.
WE MUST HAVE all petition forms IN THE MAIL no later than March 17th addressed to:
MARSHALL FOR U.S. SENATE
PO BOX 422
Manassas, Va. 20108
We need every single signature we can get. We MUST get Bob on the ballot or all else not to be! So please pitch in NOW and help!!!
Thank you so much!
