Beach Picnic area to reopen for 2012 season

County continues to earn an A+ for website transparency

For the third year in a row, York County's website has earned an A+ rating for its transparency initiative from Sunshine Review.

 

Sunshine Review is a non-profit organization dedicated to state and local government transparency. It's website "collects and shares transparency information and uses a 10-point Transparency Checklist to evaluate the content of every state and more than 5,000 local government websites," according to its site, sunshinereview.org.

 

York is one of only nine government entities in Virginia to earn the A+ rating.
