YCRC Mtg Call, 3 Oct 2013 & info

Greetings, Fellow Republicans!

I hope you all are enjoying the hints of autumn temperatures…and getting ready to work hard to help our candidates win in just a few shorts weeks!

è Please note that the October meeting will be at York High School’s Auditorium (at rear of YHS side parking lot next to the football field). We’ll be inviting many local Republicans to attend as our Exec. Vice Chairman Chad Green has worked hard to secure a special guest speaker for us, so we’ll need more space for all our guests ! He’s requested our candidate for Governor Ken Cuccinelli to speak with us & fire us up for these last few weeks, but as the campaign schedule across the Commonwealth is “fluid” this close to Election Day, we may have a special surrogate speak on his behalf. Chad has been assured that, if Ken isn’t able to attend, a very special surrogate will be visiting us. As soon as we know the details, we’ll let you know – but it will be worth you time to attend and get fired up for the last few weeks of the campaign & Election Day! Please invite your friends to attend! This is a great way to invite new people to join us, too!

è CAMPAIGN FOCUS @ 3 OCT mtg.: Bring your calendars to next Thursday’s meeting as you’ll need to check your schedules for when you can help the campaigns with phonebanking, door knocking, letters to the editor, and other activities to help convince those who are still undecided – even at the polls on Election Day. It’s up to each one of US, folks – VICTORY is in YOUR hands…what do YOU plan to do to help our candidates WIN from now until Nov. 5th ?? Come to the meeting to learn ways to help and sign up to VOLUNTEER FOR VICTORY!!

è Stop by our York County Republican HQ (on Rt. 17 across from Harwoods Mill reservoir, just north of Walmart) for Cuccinelli, Jackson, and Obenshain & your Delegate (Helsel, Watson, Pogge) yard signs & bumper stickers! Pick up some literature about our candidates, also, so you can spread the word about why they’re the best choice for Virginia’s success! (You can, also, stop by to help make phone calls to York County voters and even do some door knocking in our neighborhoods!) HQ operating hours are Mon. – Sat. 9 AM – 9 PM & Sun. 2 – 6 PM.

è We’ve learned that next week’s 3 October YCRC meeting date & time is, also, a York County fundraising event for Del. Brenda Pogge. Her team apologizes for the schedule conflict, but they were unable to schedule another date. If you plan to attend Brenda’s event, you can go at the beginning for a quick visit & support and then come over to the YCRC meeting at York HS Auditorium for two great events in one evening! Remember – we need you at the YCRC meeting to finalize our plans for the final campaign push and Election Day!

è This coming Saturday, 28 Sept. from 6 – 8:30 PM, Del. Brenda Pogge is having a special event to discuss the Farm Freedom Bill and view the movie FARMAGEDDON – the Unseen War on American Family Farms. ( ).It will be at King’s Way Church Sanctuary, 5100 John Tyler Hwy., Williamsburg, VA 23185. For more information, call 757-223-9690 or visit .

è The minutes from the 5 September YCRC meeting are not attached but will be emailed prior to the 3 October meeting for your review. Once again, a special Thank You! to Kris Butz for filling in as Temporary Secretary in Sec. Robin Milewski’s absence!

I look forward to seeing you all at next Thursday’s meeting at York High School Auditorium and working with you for our candidates these last weeks to Election Day!

Have a wonderful week!

For God and Country,

Lynda Fairman
