major victory in court today for a York Cnty family fighting county hall !!!
Today a York County family won a monumental court victory in York County Circuit Court !!!!
They fought city hall & won!!
They had their real estate assessment reduced by the circuit court by up to $317,600 on their 1/3rd acre lot !!!! Which means that their land was assessed up to 69% higher than the real market value !!! This OVER-ASSESSMENT had been going on for several years !!!
This is HUGE !!! Many other citizens should be inspired by their hard fought victory !!!
The judge also ruled that the county was WRONG when they declared their purchase of the property as a distress or inside sale and not an arms-length transaction.
This could have widespread implications for York County's already dwindling tax base !!!
