Why not start the New Year with an invigorating fitness class? Registration is now underway for York County Parks and Recreation's Winter Adult Fitness and Aerobics classes. The 11-week session runs from January 14 to March 30 at Grafton and Seaford Elementary Schools and includes class offerings in Cardio Combo, Hi/Lo Combo, Pilates, Yoga, Step, Zumba and Strength Training. Classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday at 6 and 7 p.m. and on Saturday mornings, so there's sure to be a class and time that suit you!

Parents, are you looking for that special something to help keep your children (or perhaps yourself!) active and motivated during the coming winter months? York County Parks and Recreation may have just what you are looking for in its lineup of Winter Instructional Classes for youth and adults beginning this month! Register now for "children only" classes in Roller Skating, Basic Drawing, and Ballet, Tap & Jazz. A variety of other classes are available for children and adults alike, including Digital Cartooning & Character Design, Ice Skating, Fashion Design/Sewing, Watercolors and Tae Kwon Do.

The Gallery at York Hall will open for its 12th season on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
Until that time, the Gallery will be open on a limited winter schedule. Hours of operation will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments to visit the Gallery may also be made by calling 757-890-4490.
The Gallery is located in York Hall at 301 Main Street, Yorktown. It is operated by the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and managed by volunteer manager Sharon Owen. The Gallery at York Hall is an art gallery with a variety of themed exhibits which change every six to eight weeks. Exhibits feature the works of local artists.
