Dear Robert: I hope you don't mind me emailing you, Robert. Jamie Radtke said it would be all right since you and I both are fighting hard to support her campaign. If you don't know who I am, please allow me to introduce myself. I've been helping conservative Republicans get elected for fifty years. It was an honor for me to play a part in the Reagan Revolution. My long time friend and conservative leader, Morton Blackwell, called me the "Funding Father" of the right. More recently, I'm known for having written the book, Conservatives Betrayed: How George W. Bush and Other Big Government Republicans Hijacked the Conservative Cause. (I want you to have a copy of that book, but I'll tell you more about that in a minute.) As you can see, I believe in holding Republicans accountable for bad behavior as much as I believe in electing principled leaders like Ronald Reagan. That's why I believe Jamie's campaign is so important. She does an excellent job of passionately articulating why we must fight the Washington Establishment to save our country. To see an incredible example of that passion, I strongly urge you to watch the highlights from last Friday's debate in Virginia Beach if you haven't seen them already. I have never witnessed a more focused, hard-hitting attack on a Washington insider's misdeeds than when I watched Jamie confront George Allen in Friday's debate. I've always known she could make a positive impact on Washington, but that night I got a glimpse of how powerfully she could impact the fight over the direction of our nation as a member of the U.S. Senate. That's why I wanted to send you this email - - to ask you to join with me in helping Jamie's final push before the June 12 primary. Here are two ways I urge you to stand with me to make Jamie Radtke a leader in Washington: - First, I'm asking you to make a generous contribution toward Jamie's campaign right now so she can get her message out to as many Republican primary voters as possible. If you'll contribute at least $100 to Jamie's campaign by Friday, you'll receive a FREE copy of my book, Conservatives Betrayed.
- Second, I'd like for you to be a part of a reception I'm hosting for Jamie on May 31 in Yorktown. If you would like to be listed as a co-host for the event with me for $1,000, or be a sponsor, you can sign up here or contact Karen Hurd at 804-451-5985, extension 20. Whether or not you're able to help as a host or sponsor, I hope you will attend for a contribution of $50 so I will have a chance to see you and to thank you for supporting Jamie's campaign in person. You can get your tickets here.
Jamie Radtke is exactly the kind of candidate the Republican Party needs to re-establish itself as the conservative force in American politics. I'm as honored to be a part of her campaign for U.S. Senate as I was to help Ronald Reagan. Seeing her stunning performance in last week's debate only served to fuel my fire to see her elected. Thank you for all that you're do to push her to victory on June 12. Best Regards,
Richard A. Viguerie P.S. Don't forget, Robert - - If you'll contribute at least $100 to Jamie's campaign by Friday of this week, I'll make sure you receive a copy of my book, Conservatives Betrayed, in the mail. If you can come to the reception I'm hosting for Jamie in Yorktown on May 31, I would be glad to autograph the book for you in person. Either way, please be sure to make your contribution by this Friday so Jamie's staff can deploy much-needed advertising over the next couple of weeks before the primary on June 12. Contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, national banks, federal contractors, and foreign nationals are prohibited. Individual contributions are limited to $2,500 per person per election. The Federal Election commission requires we collect information on occupation and employer from each contributor. Paid for by Radtke for Senate, Inc. |
