This email is sent to inform you of upcoming events and programs happening this summer sponsored by York County Parks and Recreation/Tourism. We hope the following information and links will be helpful in planning your summer fun!
 
SUMMER REGISTRATION
 
The Parks and Recreation Office will start registration for summer camps and programs on Monday, May 14 for York County residents and Monday, May 21 for non-county residents from 8:15 am – 5:00 pm.   Detailed information and fillable registration forms are available at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. Please be sure to carefully read the registration information. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Parks and Recreation office at 890-3500.

NEW QUARTER PARK, located close to historic Williamsburg, is a 545-acre park perfect for family reunions, scout groups, church activities or just plain old fun for the whole family. Amenities include miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, a campfire circle, 4 large picnic shelters for group rental and 11 small shelters, playgrounds, restroom facilities, softball field, basketball court, sand volleyball, and much more. A floating pier offers easy access for kayaking, canoeing or fishing on Queens Creek. Special activities and programs are scheduled and open to the public through the year. Check out pages 20-21 of the Summer Activity Guide for details on New Quarter Park activities and camps this summer. NEW this summer are our Saturday Kayak Rentals and of course NQP's 18-hole disc golf is always a favorite. For more information call 890-3500 or visit http://www.yorkcounty.gov/Default.aspx?tabid=4626.
