A Letter

How easily we forget. Why is it necessary to continually address such a fundamental keystone of our nation? Are the precepts of the Founding Fathers as articulated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution considered just trivial ramblings today? Is the gift patriots died for at Bunker Hill and Valley Forge not a heirloom but a rusted and broken piece of junk?

In the near past, the Obama Administration has advocated the abolition of the center piece of the 1st Amendment, created a new dollar coin sans the national motto, "In God We Trust" and now special interest groups of the Democratic Party are again in Rhode Island directly assaulting the Christian foundation of the nation.

Why are our elected representatives so silent? I hear no outcry from our Senators, Warner and Webb. The elected Representatives in the House cannot be found. Could it be that the silence from Richmond both from the Governor's Office and the Republican Party of Virginia reflects the cowed political posture of the nation?

Let me be clear. If we as a nation are unwilling to assert our Christian heritage then we give up any right to claim that we "are endowed by (our) Creator with certain unalienable Rights". This issue alone transcends all others.

We are today ruled by an elite Oligarchy which is systematically abolishing our relationship with our Father. For this nation, this is not a threat to a church. This is a threat to the child.
