Subject: 1st District RNC Convention/Tea Party!Guys,I would like to thank JP Jones for helping snoop out the Rinos. He was there and offered me moral support. This is were it all happens. The room was overflowing with Tea and like minded Americans. I have never been in a room with so many who want what we want so badly and understand that we are just one election away from losing so much. It was very obvious to me that the RNC is being up-righted by the Tea Party Movement. If you are frustrated with the RNC and its direction, which we are, then I think now more than ever we need to steer its direction. There is so much to report I will try to keep it short.Tom Foley is no longer the 1st district chairman. Out of the 20 or so speakers he was the only one who threw mud. I believe that anyone sitting on the fence made their mind up after he spoke. Essex's other two delegates voted for Tom. I believe they received an eye opener. The new chairman is Eric Herr. I hope he does not let us down.Rob Wittman was a first speaker and his reception was respectful but not overwhelming. Many did not even get up when he entered the room to speak. He bought pizzas that were left in the registration room. Not many knew the pizzas were there and I saw what I was not sure was Bob Marshall sitting by himself reading. I confirmed his identification and went over to thank him for the three bills that he has sponsored to keep America one step away from Obama. He is a down to earth guy and spoke to me from a sitting position. He received a standing ovation when announced. He has already beaten Kaine on three different occasion's in court. He is extremely dynamic and articulated in his presentation. I did not expect such conviction when I met him eating pizza. He also brought up his work to resist the NDAA which brought on great applause. This comment was in direct conflict with Wittman who voted for it.George Allen had a fairly big organizational crew present but his speaker was nowhere to be found when announced. I saw many refuse signs, stickers and even conversation with his crew. But not my two fellow Delegates.Jamie Radki's mother spoke and did a nice job. Lots of heart and conviction but no substance.EW Jackson had a fill-in as well. His fill-in admitted he was unable to carry the message and conviction that Mr. Jackson carries. I felt for him since I had heard Mr. Jackson and he was not able to come close to the same message. The Yorktown delegates brought to the floor the resolution to reject Agenda 21. It was pretty impressive and it passed with great enthusiasm. This happened from all the hard work from all getting this exposed and in the open. The gallery went nuts with an approval when asked for a vote. Many of the folks who are representing the first district after the election are Tea Party People. These are the folks who are going to Tampa for the big show. I have faith now that America has a chance of being restored. The Tea Party has made a difference here and all our hard work is paying off. Even the two Essex delegates, after hearing really good and different things, wanted to know who the Tea Party candidates were because they could not chose. Most all the candidates except a few were Tea candidates.I think it is important that everyone in the ETP should be extremely proud and know that all our work, combined with like-minded concerned citizens and groups, are making a difference. I know we have the full attention of the RNC in the 1st district.Had a really great day!Dave
