York County and Poquoson will jointly open shelter at Grafton School Complex

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
                       
In anticipation of the approach of Hurricane Sandy and the potential for flooding in low-lying areas, York County and the City of Poquoson are jointly opening a shelter at the Grafton School Complex located at 403 Grafton Drive, Yorktown, at 6 p.m. this evening. If you choose to go to the shelter, you should bring:
 
·         Pillows, blankets, sleeping bags or air mattresses
·         Extra clothing, shoes, eyeglasses, etc.
·         Folding chairs, lawn chairs or cots
·         Personal hygiene supplies
·         Flashlights and batteries
·         Quiet games, books and favorite toys
·         Important papers
·         Prescription medications
·         Food, water and/or snacks
