York County District 5 Town Meeting

Dear Neighbors,

 

On Wednesday, October 10th, I will conduct a York County District 5 Town Meeting in the Tabb Elementary School gymnasium.  The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 8:30.  The purpose of the meeting is to provide you with information on current topics of interest and to provide you with an opportunity to ask questions  and provide comment on issues impacting our County.  The following is a list of topics that I will cover for the meeting:

 

District 5 Overview – Details many aspects of District 5 and shows you where current and future growth will occur.

Recycling Program Update – Details a proposed new program that is voluntary, combines the cost for trash and recycling, provides a 96 gallon wheeled container, and rewards participation.

Proposed Solicitation Regulation – Details a proposed new County code which give will greater protection to our residents and provides the Sheriff’s Office with increased enforcement capability.

Route 171 Multi-Use Trail – Update on trail development.

Route 17 Widening and VDOT  Update – Provides details on Rte 17 construction and problems facing state transportation.

Moore’s Creek Drainage Project – Provides an update on the last phase of the project.

Fire/Rescue Statistics

Sheriff’s Report on Criminal Activity
