Want Ryan to have last laugh?

From Grassfire Nation:

Dear Robert Bruce,

Paul Ryan and Joe Biden came out swinging in their one-and-only vice-presidential debate. The Wisconsin congressman wanted to build on the momentum Mitt Romney gained a week earlier in the first presidential debate, while the current VP looked to "make up for lost ground" (Ryan's words) after Barack Obama's poor showing in Denver.

Even though Ryan hadn't participated in a campaign debate since his first run for office in 1998, the 42-year-old conservative "wonk" held his own against the sneering, smiling and laughing former U.S. senator from Delaware. In fact, many media commentators believe that Joe Biden's antics on stage may have worked against him.

Immediately after the showdown at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, Fox News Channel's Chris Wallace told viewers, "I don't believe I've ever seen a debate in which one participant was as openly disrespectful of the other as Biden was to Paul Ryan ... It was openly contemptuous and disrespectful."

Social media exploded with comments about Biden's debate demeanor, with one pundit from left-leaning MSNBC posting on Twitter: “Biden needs to laugh a little less through the Libya, Middle East, nuclear Iran segment.” Even well-known movie critic Roger Ebert tweeted: "Joe! Stop smiling and laughing!” A CNN poll showed that 48% of debate viewers said Ryan won the debate, while 44% picked Biden.
