York County Storm Update - Tuesday, October 30

October 30, 2012
Since this morning, York County staff has been in the community performing assessments in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Early reports indicate that damage will most likely be minimal.
At this time, the county has received reports of two trees that affected residences – one in Tabb and another in Lightfoot/Skimino. Both homes had minor to moderate damage and are habitable. Other than these two incidents, the county has received no reports of damage to homes, vehicles, or businesses. No injuries have been reported as a result of the storm.
York County Parks and Recreation has canceled all outdoor practices and games through Wednesday, October 31. A determination about activities for Thursday, November 1, will be made once field conditions are assessed.  Sports participants are asked to contact their team representative for the status of Thursday's scheduled activities.
York County's Emergency Operations Center was closed at 3 p.m. this afternoon.
